Dear KGC Members,

The 57th AGM of the Karori Golf Club will be held at the Clubhouse this Saturday - 06 Dec 2025 at 9:30am. Members are invited to join the disc draw game (18H and 9H) following.  Those involved will be treated with a 'President's Shout' afterwards - so regardless of your score the tipple afterwards will taste sweet! 

Key AGM papers were shared on 14 November, please review prior to the meeting. Below is the Agenda for the meeting and attached is the Final Draft of the KGC Rules:

A. 2025 AGM AGENDA

1. Welcome and Apologies  
2. Confirmation of Minutes of last AGM 
3. Presentation and approval of the Annual Report  
4. Presentation and approval of the Draft Financial Accounts for 2025 
5. Election of Officers  
6. Appointment of Reviewer  
7. Notified Business:
   • That the Draft Rules for the Karori Golf Club (Incorporated) as circulated to members, 23 October 2025, be approved. (Amendments from member feedback have been included and the final draft is attached) Moved: President Mark Peck.
   • Notice of motion (12th Hole bridge) from J Waters and B Cavana as notified. 
   • To approve advertising the section by the Green Keepers Shed for sale through a Real Estate Land Agent. Moved: President Mark Peck.

B. DRAFT RULES OF THE KARORI GOLF CLUB

Attached is the final draft of the KGC rules, incorporating the changes from member feedback. In short, the changes incorporated from the initial draft circulated on 23 October 2025 are:

1. Membership categories have been updated;
2. Attendance and voting by video/electronic means at AGM's is now permitted - clauses 5.8 and 5.16;
3. Treasurer can delegate (like secretary) - clause 6.5(c);
4. New clause 3.3 (club can only sell/buy land etc. on the recommendation of the Committee and with the approval of a majority of Members present at a General Meeting);
5. Being a member of WGI has been relegated down the order of the purposes of the Club (clause 3.1(f));
6. Clarified that Committee Members must be members of the Club (clause 6.2);
7. Proxy votes are not permitted (clause 5.15).
