Club Tidy Up for City of Wellington
If you would like to help out around the Club on Sunday between 8am and 11am or any day during the next week it would be a great help there are lots of small jobs that need attending to. There is a list of jobs to do on the volunteers board in the foyer, so just have a look on there and get into it.
Amongst them :-
Cleaning signs on Tee Blocks
Cleaning internal windows and ledges
Taking down the pink curtains behind the printer upstairs
Plenty of Weeding around paths and the clubhouse.
Tidying up and Weeding the practice nets (Shirties have this covered ?)
Carts need a good Clean Inside and Out (Water Blaster)
Decks need water blasting (George can point you in the direction of our small Karcher)
Hedge Trimming
Anyone helping out that needs to get around please use one of the carts in the shed (We have booked one for the morning for that purpose)
Talking about Carts see below.!!!
Maintenance
The door to the cart and trundler room has broken again ! we have done a quick fix but would benefit from a chippy/builder having a look at it and doing a more permanent fix. contact the club if you can help karorigolfclub@gmail.com is best.
WOMENS 9 HOLE FIELD DAY AT ROYAL WELLINGTON
Despite the forecast of drizzle at Royal Wellington, the Karori 9 hole lady entrants were treated to a warm still Spring day to play the Terrace 9 holes. Our interclub season was brought to a shuddering halt with lockdown and clubs were given to option to resume in the wet and cold of winter or have a Field day. The majority of clubs in the competition voted for the later option their interest in the competition having been flattened. We had been doing quite well on the ladder (4th position ) until lockdown. Our new shirts for the season had been favourably commented on.
BEER, BEER, BEER … AND SHANDY
The club has teamed up with local brewer Garage Project to bring members a range of their award-winning beers.
Started in a disused service station on Aro St, Garage Project has become one of Wellington's favourite craft brewers
From this weekend we will have available.
Turbine APA
Pils'n Thrills Pilsner
Fugazi - Low Alcohol
Shandy - Low Alcohol not your traditional Shandy give it a go its good!!!
TROPHIES URGENT!!!!!

Help! We need to get them engraved, cleaned and in the cabinet ready for display at the City of Wellington!
TWILIGHT GOLF

SHOP DEALS
We have a new delivery of balls with ProVs still $79.99 and TruFeel at a bargain $39.99.
We have some colourful ladies visors and ladies gloves in stock as well as mens and womens leather gloves.
I have a number of KGC jubilee Polos still available, please feel free to try.
We also have the Footjoy and Titleist catalogues available in the shop, so if members need gear they can order through the club.
COVID PRECAUTIONS

Please keep up the handwashing, the checking in, and all of the other usual precautions around this. The authorities fear people are getting lax, and the events of this week have shown it can resurface very quickly.
