Happening Now... 

Good morning all!

The following is happening now...

1. Summer Eclectic. 

This is available for all players.  The eclectic is off the white tees and records your best score on all holes to give you a final gross score, from which half handicap is deducted.  It runs from now until the 28th of February which is the final chance to improve your score. 

Just select "eclectic" when you print your card and the computer will sort the rest out.  Just enter your score. There's always some crazy low scores.  A bit of summer fun.

2. AGM-Stableford

You may enter this on line.  Even if you are not able to attend the AGM, you may enter this event.  Tee time will be from 11am using multi tees. Enter on line.  $5 to defray cost of prizes (golf balls? vouchers?...)

It's a fun way to end the year.

3. Miner's Arms - 4ball better ball stableford

Grab yourself a mate and enter this event.  You select when you will play, and you enter your score on the sheet on the wall in the downstairs foyer.  Again, this is a fun summer event played over three rounds (one in December, January, and February).  You must nominate your round when you decide to play and you must have someone sign your card. Every counting score must be putted out.

Entry Sheet is on the board in the downstairs foyer.

4. Women Specific Events

Women's club captain Denise Marten has loaded a number of Women Specific Events.  These are available on line to our women members.  Select the event you wish to play when you print your card.  Have fun!

5. Inter Club Trials - Saturday 13 December 2025 (Round 3)

Please let us know as soon as possible your availability for round 3 of the inter club trials.

It's nice to see so many new players looking for spots in our teams this year.  

Reply to clubhouse@karorigolf.co.nz as soon as possible please.

Leading with six points so far is Russell Turner from Deane Milne on 5.5 points.

Anyone who hasn't been involved so far but would like to give it a go, please don't be shy.  The more the merrier.  We have four teams and there may well be a slot somewhere for you.

6. Thank-you Captain Norks...

Kevin Norquay is bowing out at the AGM for work and other reasons and he will be sorely missed.  Thank you for your efforts Norks.  Your Captain's Corner particularly have been great to follow.  Big shoes to fill.  And speaking of that, we need a club captain (no nominations yet) so again, don't be shy, hands up! 

7. And finally...

All next years Monthly Medals, Sunday Club Days, and Summer Fundays (yes this is new) have been entered for 2026.

Keep an eye out for Shop Haggles on Saturdays (details yet to be confirmed with the shop) with a small entry fee and vouchers, balls as prizes.  Available to all with a NZ Golf Handicap (or compatible).
