Club House News:

A new printer downstairs has been installed so we can print score cards when the office is not open. This has been donated by our Wednesday Club members. Thank you.

Committee’s car park is no longer a safe haven from wild golf shots. Last weekend, a loose ball from the practice net broke a Men’s Changing room window Unfortunately no one has come forward to claim responsibility.

After the departure of Ana and Katie, we’ll soon have two new staff members: Rhiannon and Amineh who will look after our bar and catering facilities on the weekends. Make sure you say hi and welcome them to our club.

Matt’s Message to Members (Greenkeeper’s Corner)

Another week of pleasant golfing weather means more players out enjoying the course. Please remember to give way to greenstaff who are working on the course. Buckets of sand are recommended for filling in those divot holes that have been left by careless players. Greenkeepers have been busy filling in bunkers to begin work on the grass depressions. These will continue to be GUR and are marked with white line/or roped off. Re-sowing of the practise putting green has been happening this last week and so areas will be roped off. Please refrain from using this until the grass is established and ropes are removed..

Interclub Round 2

All the best to all players for the 2nd round of Interclub this weekend. Thanks to the Team Captains for their inspirational messages to players.

All the best to Gail Kirkland and Alex Lim who are representing Karori Golf Club at the Wellington Eagles Field Day on Sunday at Shandon. Diplomat’s Day

We have organised with David Hill to host Diploma’s Day on Sunday 21 February with morning tea supplied from 10am and then a multi tee start from 11am. This is a stableford competition and for club members the Grant Keat’s Trophy (nett round) can be played in conjunction with this. It would be wonderful to have a fine field of Karori members to compete in the teams competition against the Diplomats. To enter you can register online or write your name on the noticeboard by Thursday 18 February. This is to allow for a draw to be organised and sent out to members.

Grant Keat’s Trophy (2 nett rounds on consecutive Sundays)

This is to be held on Sunday 14 and 21 February. The winner is the player with the lowest combined nett scores over the two rounds.

SHOOTOUT 2021

Shootout for 2021 has started please remember if you enter Shoot Out the entry fee is $25 for the year and then every round you play can be counted, It would really help administration of the competition if you register online through the website, it does cost $2 extra but is a big help to us
