Hi Members We are a little early this week !! Karori Golf Club has found its 2020 club champions after a finals day played in superb spring weather. Congratulations to the new five champions, and commiserations to the beaten finalists. We captured most of the action (sorry Junior B finalists), via the telephoto lens of Erich Bucher. Women A massive battle, with Celia Howden eventually beating Fiona Kearns 1 up.
Celia on her way to becoming Karori women’s champion. Senior Tim Richards got home 2 and 1 mounting a rearguard action on the second 18, after Adrian Porter had forged an early three-hole lead.

Adrian Porter was the beaten senior finalist. Intermediate Luke Underwood beat Eugene Doyle 5 and 4, after both shot specatacular 80s over the first 18.
Luke Underwood won a quality Intermediate final. Junior A Phil Goodwin (despite having Phil Hartley as caddie) saw off wily Terry Bastion 9 and 7.

If you want to avoid printing cards, use the golf.co.nz app instead, it has a scorecard enabled. Simply use the clubhouse wifi to open it and the scorecard before you tee off - then it is able to operate in offline mode. Try it out in the safety of your own home. It’s much, much easier than putting on the 11th. CLUBHOUSE HOURS Monday - 10am-3pm Tuesday 9am-3pm Wednesday 9.30am-4.30pm Thursday 10am-3pm Friday 9.30am-3.30pm Saturday 9am-5pm Sunday 9am-5pm FIREWOOD (keep warm, help the club) It’s winter, it’s a bit brisk already. You need to keep warm, so the club has a deal for you. Members can now buy firewood from the club, if they bring their own trailer.
