Matt’s Message: (Greenkeeper’s memo)
As the spraying we have done is taking effect we have made it PLACING THROUGH THE GREEN until further notice. The reason for this is that there are a number of bare patches where weeds have gone and grass has not yet taken up. This will be reviewed and we will keep you updated. As you may notice we have returned the ball washers back to the course today. Our coring schedule was changed due the amount of spraying that we have and are continuing to do on the course. Players need to be aware that we will be verti-cutting, sanding and seeding starting on Monday 29 November (weather permitting). We will also have a volunteer army out helping with ridding our greens of toad rush and then sanding to fill in these areas. If you are able to help with this from Wednesday next week then please let Hector in the office know.
SHE LOVES GOLF - Saturday 20 November
It was a beautiful Karori morning when 30 women joined us at the Club to have a go at golf. Nine club volunteers help these women have a really enjoyable morning with lots of laughter, fun and plenty of good shots on pitch and putt course and practise putting green. Feedback from those involved was they really enjoyed the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. After a healthy lunch, glass of bubbles and having been given a goodie bag of golf bits and bobs players were invited to take their skills to the main course and some took up the challenge. We will follow up with these players this week giving information and how we can support them further.

CLUB COMMITTEE CORNER
Karori Golf Club Covid-19 Vaccination Policy from Friday 3 December
The club committee has met to develop a club policy to apply under the “Traffic Light” Covid management system that will apply nationally from 3 December. The policy adopted is that being implemented by other regional clubs.
The Committee has resolved that a “no jab no play/enter” rule will apply from Friday the 3rd of December. This means that all members and visitors must be double vaccinated by that date to enjoy the use of club facilities. All clubrooms’ staff will also need to be fully vaccinated.
We believe this is in the best interests of members and staff, and is essential in ensuring both compliance with Government policy and the health and safety of all. This policy will both reduce the risks associated withCovid-19 and ensure that the Club can operate with fewer restrictions than would be the case if we didn’t adopt such a rule.
From that date members and visitors must present proof of double vaccination to enter the clubrooms or play on the course. - If proof of vaccination cannot be provided then the members and guests will be asked to leave the premises until proof of vaccination is presented.
KARORI GOLF CLUB ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 2021 AGM is on Saturday 4 December at the clubhouse at 9:30 am. A fun tournament will be held immediately after the meeting. There will be a stableford trophy event for men and women called Christmas Cheer which is open to all members who have attended the AGM. The notice of meeting is up on the Club noticeboard as are the forms for nomination on the committee.

Countback was needed at the wrong end of the competition with Bob Cavana the recipient of a golf ball. Mike Cox had a two on the 13th. Nobby was nearest the pin and paid the pig.
