GOLDEN MOP

With the City of Wellington looming on November 7, it’s important to showcase the course as well as we possibly can.

A good impression can mean new members, more green fees and on top of that is simply a matter of pride.

With that in mind we need members to help with the Golden Mop - a proposed working bee on Sunday 1 November.

Please don’t leave all the work in the hands of the committee and greenkeepers. We know everyone likes work, so here’s your big chance.

Come along anytime from 8am till 11am to complete some of the jobs which need to be done to ensure our course and clubhouse is looking its best.

There will be a disc draw at 11am for those who wish to have a hit and we have blocked off tee slots to accommodate that. So you can clean up the course, then clean up the competition!

If you are able to help out then we would really appreciate an RSVP to karorigofclub@gmail.com so we can ensure we have all jobs covered.

There may be some painting jobs/gardening/shifting/cleaning jobs that need to be done!

All hands on deck please!

CITY OF WELLINGTON

Have you got your entry in for the City of Wellington Classic at Karori GC on November 7?

TWILIGHT GOLF

SHOP DEALS

We have a new delivery of balls with ProVs still $79.99 and TruFeel at a bargain $39.99. We also have the Footjoy and Titleist catalogues available in the shop, so if members need gear they can order through the club.

COVID PRECAUTIONS

Please keep up the handwashing, the checking in, and all of the other usual precautions around this. The authorities fear people are getting lax, and the events of this week have shown it can resurface very quickly.

SAUSAGE ROLLS

Karori made an appearance on stuff.co.nz on Thursday, in a story about sausage rolls … “As well, after a mid-winter round of golf there’s nothing quite like the Karori Golf Club sausage rolls to warm the soul.” Try one!

KARORI CUP

Club Day on a Sunday has shown an increase in participation which is a positive spin, it’s so much fun out there, then reading the results later.

The Karori Cup is a year-long event based on Stableford Competition on Sundays. All you need to do to enter is hit "YES" for Club Day.

At the end of November we will be calculating the best 10 stableford rounds from each player to find out the 2020 Karori Cup winner. There is definitely still plenty of time to get those good score cards coming in!
