Wednesday Club 2nd September Competition was cancelled due to inclement weather and the subsequent lack of numbers turning up to play – not surprising really.

However there were a number of golfers who talked themselves into chancing their luck urged on by a few 9 holers anxious to get their shot of exercise for a few holes at least.

In fact although the conditions were not ideal it turned our OK and those who played enjoyed the day. It’s worth noting that the course played extremely well despite of all the rain and the greens and surrounds are looking just great – what a good investment that new Greens Mower is proving and well done the Green Keepers

Sara prepared the usual succulent scones and sandwiches which further improved the overall ambience and we look forward to seeing more players with better weather in future now we’re into Spring!

Be advised the Wednesday Club use the White Tees for their 18 hole competitions as has been the case since inception back in the early 1970’s.

Whereas the 9 holers who follow them after 11.00 am use the “Short Course – yellow Tees” as they do on Mondays & Fridays at 10.00 am which has been the case for only the past 2 or 3 years! (Note: In the event there’s a really big field for the Wednesday club competition then the 9 holers will revert to the Pitch n Putt course)
