My word, how fortunate were we to have enjoyed such fabulous weather for Golf considering what happened earlier in the week and perhaps what is likely to occur over the next couple of days or so!

The anticipated splishing and sploshing in waterlogged conditions did not eventuate and with the Course simply playing “a trifle long” some 32 keen Golfers participated in the ensuing Stableford competition.

The winner in a multiple “Count Back” being: Graham Presland with 37 points from runner-up David Burton also on 37 points and the unlucky John Markham also on 37 points for 3rd place. Golf balls down to 33 Points. There were NO Two’s hence whilst scooping the Sponsor “Prodrive” nearest the pin Voucher on the 4th Doug Shearer had to confess that he in-fact 3 putted, forking out the appropriately accumulated $2 fee.

With seven 9 Holers also savouring the fab’ conditions the eventual overall weekly raffle was won by Steve Robinson – he took 2nd last week...! This week in second place was an ecstatic David Burton and 3rd was snared by Terry Bastion.

A good day and look forward to more next week....

I did notice the other day that the Wednesday Club donated $5,000 towards the new “Mower” and would point out how effective is this stalwart group in producing the goods that make this Club and Course such a fantastic environment – well done you all.
