Two messages in one day.
This afternoon greens supervisor TK and I had a talk about the state of the course.
We opened the course for play this morning but the feedback that we got was that it was incredibly wet, and with further rain falling and more forecast for tonight and tomorrow there is next to no chance that the course will improve to the point where play is possible.
For that reason at 3.30pm today the course was closed and will remain closed until a review at some stage on Tuesday morning. Unless things improve dramatically in the next 36 hours it is hard to see any possibility of the course being open anytime soon.
Members will be kept informed with regular updates but the course status is available in the first instance on the club's website. If in doubt go to the website and check course status.
Please note that the closure also includes all of the club's practice facilities.
